Donaire seeks spectacular win vs Narvaez

Episode 1 Fight Camp 360

Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire Jr. said he wants to be in his best fighting condition for his bout against undefeated Argentine world champion Omar Andres Narvaez.

“It’s a great challenge to be facing guys like Narvaez. He’s a southpaw and a tricky veteran. He’s been through different types of fighters and different styles,” Donaire told Ringtv.com.

Donaire is scheduled to defend his WBC and WBO bantamweight titles against Narvaez on October 22.

The Filipino Flash said he will need to regain the same fighting condition that he had when he fought Wladimir Sidorenko and Fernando Montiel.

In 2010, Donaire became the first man to stop Sidorenko by knocking the latter down thrice.

Several months later, Donaire scored a 2nd-round stoppage against Montiel to win the WBC and WBO bantamweight crowns.

“Narvaez knows what he’s doing out there and he’s never been beaten before. So I want to look spectacular,” said Donaire.

“I have to bring out the same energy that I brought with Sidorenko and Montiel.”
